A couple guyfriends and I walked into a bar that was equally split between a large group of guys watching a sports game, and an equally large group of guys looking at a “thing”. The thing was some sort of box-y hardware with wires sticking out of it, and there was a fairly spirited discussion regarding the thing, which was being turned around and examined closely. True to form, both my guyfriends were drawn over there as if by magnets, and promptly embroiled into the debate.
In Visions of the Techpocalypse I will seek out cool thingamajiggers and take pictures. Real-life steampunk technologies, stuff with buttons, high-end technologies, and stuff with shiny bits that go whirr!
What is that thing? Why does it have all those buttons? What do those shiny bits do? These are the questions I shall be exploring in this segment!
